String me along

String art, or pin and thread art, is characterized by an arrangement of colored thread strung between points to form abstract geometric patterns or representational designs such as a ship's sails, sometimes with other artist material comprising the remainder of the work... bla bla bla.

So, what does any of this have to do with me? good question. My dad had made a piece of string art once upon a time and it’s been hanging in the house since as long as I can remember (Featured below).





















So relatively recently i decided to have a go at it. So far i have completed 4 pieces. Artists are unfortunately their own worst critics and so I think they don't compare to the bad boy my dad made.

But I will continue to make them and hopefully get good at them. They however extremely time consuming.

I have added 3 of my creations. Let me know what you think. They um, look a lot cooler in real life... I'm serious... the lighting was bad... n stuff...
